#FarrisStory: letter to mom and dad

"My story is about my Mother and Father. They raised me to make my friends and family a priority, to work hard and to build your dreams into realities. Last August, I married the love of my life Grace. She makes me want to be a better man, she also believes in me more than I believe in myself sometimes. I recently decide to leave my job and pursue my dreams. It has been hard but in the end it will be worth it. Below is a letter I wrote to my parents before my wedding. Family and Friends are the most important thing in this world. Enjoy.

Mom and Dad,

Thank you for all you have done for Grace and me over the past 7+ years, it has helped us in so many ways. You have taken in Grace like she is your daughter and I know she is very thankful for that. I fell in love with her because of her values, many of which are shared by both of you. I am very lucky and will be forever grateful to have you both in my life. It was not until I met Grace that I truly realized how lucky I was to have such a wonderful childhood. As parents you have taught me so many life lessons that I could write a book. You have raised three wonderful sons, are the proud grandparents of five beautifully-crazy grandkids and have loved each other through it all. Success means something different to everyone, but to me I think of my parents when I hear the word success. If I do nothing in life except raise a family as you have, I will be the most successful person in the world. You have taught me that family is the most important thing in life and that happiness is only real when it is shared. I am a better man because of the both of you. I love you both more than you will ever know.

Love, Nathan"
