#FarrisStory: Remembering Paul Johnson
Kurt Owings
"My father was a very hard working man. I come from a family of five, myself and two brothers. Our father was a butcher by trade and he worked 50 plus hours a week. I don't ever remember him taking a sick day or missing any work at all. I will never forget when I was in high school and while setting on the floor watching TV turning around to see my dad setting in his recliner with tears running down his face. He had only been home about one hour after working all day. I ask mom why dad was crying, she said his arm was hurting. He never complained about work or about our lack of money. I'm still not sure to this day how my parents raised three boys on such a small income. Dad was a very hard working and caring man. He severed in our church and always was willing to help anyone. I lost my DAD in 2000 at the age of 68 and I miss him everyday. Paul Johnson was a true husband, father and friend to all."
