Someone who inspired me was my grandfather. Anyone who knew him could probably recount his story of being 'born dead' and how the doctors and nurses thought he was still-born. His grandmother didn't accept that and started slapping his chest and back. Low and behold, he started breathing. He lived 85 amazing years after that. He grew up poor but sought out education and made a lasting impression on everyone he came into contact with and as an architect who left a lasting mark on the landscape of the Philadelphia area.
