#FarrisStory: Leaning To Sick To Your Guns

"When I was in eighth grade back in the 70s I had a teacher named Brian Night. He was reading the book Jonathan Livingston Siegel. I was a rather shy young man and it one point he asked the class a question from the book. He called on me for the answer. I wasn't sure but I gave it my best shot. He asked me if that was my final answer? I was going to change my mind when he suggested I 'stick to my guns.' So I did just that. It turns out my answer was incorrect but his philosophy was spot on. At 55 years old I still think of that day and that philosophy carries me through many decisions I make every day in life." - Mark from West Dundee, IL
