"I was deployed few years ago (for the 6th time) and I was back in the same armpit location I was in 8 years earlier. I was going through a tough time with my wife, and missing our kids since this was the first deployment downrange as a dad. A friend I hadn't seen in 6 years saw through social media I was away and sent me cigars of all kinds and makes for the entire trip, at a considerable cost to himself. The time I spent enjoying those cigars reminded me to be happy despite my personal woes and situation.
