#FarrisStory: The Great depression taught this grandmother to thrive with little
Kurt Owings
"My grandmother has always been a inspiration to me. She grew up during the depression and learned to not only get by, but to thrive with little. She has survived the death of two husbands and two children. She has watched friends pass and hopes both fulfilled and dashed. She has moved from family homes and has always found ways to make it feel like grandmas house. None of this would be possible without a deep abiding faith and the full realization that everything she has is a profound gift. These are the things that I have tried so hard to learn from her. Even at 86 she continues to find joy and life in everything around her. I love my grandma Darleene." - Aaron
