#FarrisStory: from reading disorder to book work
Kurt Owings
"My teacher, Mr. Trent, was always a man I could look up to. Despite having an extreme upper quintile IQ, I suffered from a reading disorder. Ever other teacher had given up on me and I had given up on myself. Mr. Trent put his confidence in me, and slowly I regained confidence in myself. I slowly but surely picked up the skills I needed to read in his class. Even after graduating, Mr. Trent continued to aid me in my reading and studies, and is a man of great character. I am proud to say that I am a book worm today, and all because of the teacher who took the time, Mr. Trent."
